A new daylight balanced Key light with the ability to manually control
beam-shape from 10 degrees through to 90 degrees.

Long lamp life rated at 60,000 hours @ 80% typical.

Fluorescent Lighting: The SUNSTAR II
The economical choice for strong, soft fluorescent light in 'Daylight' & 'Tungsten'
colour temperatures, with long lamp life, low heat output and low
running costs.
The Sunstar Lighting System is ideal for outside broadcasts, TV or
film units, remote units, in house AV departments, digital video /
photography studios, webcasting and internet image capture.

Technical Information
GENERAL
Sunstar lights are designed for a long and trouble free service life.
During the product life, only lamp changes should be required.
LAMP CHANGE
Two, 36 watt PL-L lamps are utilised in the design. These should have
an average service life of up to 10,000 hours. The control gear uses
a special soft start mechanism to minimise any reduction in lamp life
caused by repetitive switching of the light unit.
MAINS POWER SUPPLY
Sunstar units incorporate a unique loop in and out power supply facility.
Each Sunstar is supplied with a BS1363 mains plug to IEC connector.
An optional IEC (male) to IEC (female) extension lead is supplied with
pairs of units. If the BS1363 plug is unsuitable for your connection,
alternative European plugs are available on request.
The BS1363 plug is supplied with a 5amp fuse allowing up to 14 units
to be daisy chained from one mains circuit.
Each Sunstar is individually fused at the IEC input socket.
Sunstar lights come with a 16mm mounting bracket and fit most lighting
stands and supports with a similar spigot. The bracket allows the light
to be mounted both horizontally or vertically.
LIGHT CONTROL
Each light can be individually switched on or off in a chain without
affecting the other units and, using the optional dimming version,
each light may be controlled individually. Just plug the control into
the 3 pin XLR socket on the rear. The light units may also be dimmed
remotely using a 0 – 10v dc signal if required via the same 3
pin XLR.
This light unit has been made to the highest standards possible within its price
range and conforms to the CE code for low voltage products.
